'Ken celebrates his 50th birthday, but Wendy feels sorry for Ken as Deirdre forgets his birthday. She lays on a meal for him. Deirdre on the other hand makes Ken a surprise birthday meal but he doesn\'t return. Ken and Wendy get to know each other better and when he kisses her she doesn\'t stop him, but when Ken returns home to find the table laid for his surprise party, however, Deirdre has gone to bed. Martin tries to persuade Gail to attend the Webster\'s party but she fears she\'ll feel too old, but in the end she is persuaded to go. Martin gets drunk at the party and declares his love for Gail loudly in the Street, in front of Ivy. The factory girls celebrate because Maurice offers to pay the redundancies.' |
