'In an attempt to stop Sally working, Kevin tells her that he\'ll buy into the garage. Rumours spread about the changing of the Street\'s name. Rita thinks that Alf deserves the honour but the rest of the residents aren\'t keen. Kevin tells Don that the garage needs investment and he\'ll go into partnership with him if he will put another £10,000 into the business. Don agrees to find the money. Don goes to the bank but they point out his business is bad; he\'s a mechanic down and his partner has walked out. He is horrified when Mr Reynolds of the bank refuses to lend him £10,000 and gives him seven days to repay his outstanding loan of £6,000 or the receivers will be called in. Ken agrees to let Kelly mind Sophie as well as Daniel in return for Sally paying half of her wages. Alf plans a party for the residents to announce the renaming. Liz tells Jim that the house has too many bad memories for her and she doesn\'t want to buy it. Audrey comes round to the Coronation Street idea when Alf says the new name will be Alfred Roberts Place. Tony is surprised when Maxine tells him that she\'s always fancied him. They kiss.\r\n\r\n' |
